'Anomalous Dawn' Nyarlathotep ('異暁'のナイアラトテップ, 'Igyō' no Naiāratoteppu) is the Sixth True Dragon, the sixth of the calamities that have threatened the very existence of Earth as a whole. It was killed by 'Purple' Kraken in the distant past, was revived in the modern era, and killed once more through the combined efforts of the Dragon Subjugation Squad and NIFL.

Appearance[]

Nyarlathotep is a purely metallic lifeform, seemingly possessing no biological component, which takes the form of a massive metal discus with metallic tentacles growing out of its outer edge.

Background[]

Nyarlathotep appeared on Earth at an unspecified point in the distant past, possessing the capability to wipe out all life on the planet due to the sheer durability of its metal body. However, it was destroyed by 'Purple' Kraken, the Counterdragon born to oppose it, through the use of Code Sechs, Absolute.

Plot[]

Darkness Disaster[]

Nyarlathotep emerged from the unknown territory surrounding the arctic and suddenly appeared at the climax of Brynhildr Class's and NIFL's battle against 'Eternal Longevity' Bahamut, shielding its fellow True Dragon from Iris Freyja's Catastrophe and attacking Marduk with its metallic tentacles, tearing through the battleship's shield with ease. However, it was eventually destroyed by Shion Zwei Shinomiya's Antimatter.

Powers and Abilities[]

Unknown Metal Material: Nyarlathotep's entire body is composed of an unknown metal substance which possess much greater durability than even mithril, withstanding Catastrophe's weathering and Babel's supergravitational singularity without any visible damage. However, it is unable to withstand antimatter shots, something which led to the True Dragon's demise when faced with holders of Code Sechs.

Trivia[]

  • Nyarlathotep's name is derived from the eldritch deity from the fictional Cthulu Mythos, a spawn of Azathoth, the creator god.
