'True Obliteration' Ragnarok ('真滅'のラグナロック, 'Shinmetsu' no Ragunarokku) is the Third True Dragon, the third of the calamities that have threatened the very existence of Earth as a whole. It was killed by 'Gold' Phoenix, the predecessor of 'Yellow' Hraesvelgr, at some point in the distant past, but was revived through the Ninth True Dragon's power.

Appearance[]

Ragnarok's outward appearance is that of a mist-like territory that somewhat resembles a massive cloud. The inside of the mist contains a multitude of high-level astral life forms that were consumed by Ragnarok in the past, while the ruins of Atlantis are also situated within it due to its current position. An as of yet unidentified astral life-form acts as the core of Ragnarok, sustaining the True Dragon's existence.

Background[]

Ragnarok arrived on Earth at an unspecified point in time in the distant past, possessing the capability to wipe out all life on the planet. It arrived at the city of Atlantis after the downfall of civilization, which had become a land abundant with high-level astral life-forms that could serve as food for it. However, it was killed by 'Gold' Phoenix, the Counterdragon born to oppose it, through having its core destroyed by it.

Powers and Abilities[]

Soul Consumption: Ragnarok is essentially a miniature world that survives by devouring other souls and spirits, with those weak enough to survive dissociating into mist. However, high-level astral forms like fairies, phantasmal beasts and gods are still capable of maintaining their form inside Ragnarok, with the strongest one acting as its core.

Trivia[]

  • Ragnarok's name is derived from the cataclysmic event in Norse Mythology where most of the key Norse Gods would fall in battle with evil forces, resulting in the destruction and subsequent recreation of the world.
