Yuu Mononobe is the ninth chapter of the Unlimited Fafnir manga series. It was published in the second manga volume.

Synopsis

While sleeping, Yuu dreams about a certain scene from his past that he cannot recall being part of his memories, where a young Mitsuki asked him to marry her when they grow up, kissing him as a sign of their engagement. Yuu is then roused from his sleep by Mitsuki, who comments on the fact that Yuu is crying.

A while later, Yuu is contacted by Major Loki, who congratulates him on defeating 'White' Leviathan and promises to grant him a reward in the future, before signing off. After that, Yuu notices that he received a message from Iris, who asks him to come to the beach. Upon exiting the dorm, Yuu encounters the rest of Brynhildr Class, who had come to check up on him. When he confirms to Lisa that he was responsible for the black light that stopped Leviathan, Lisa promotes him to probationary classmate as recognition for his efforts. Yuu proceeds to meet up with Iris, who asks him to be his friend. After Yuu states that he always thought of her as a friend, Iris kisses him as a sign of her gratitude for everything he had done for her.

Meanwhile, in an unidentified location, Tear Lightning mourns the death of her parents when she's approached by Kili Surtr Muspelheim, who states that her parents were fakes so she doesn't need to be sad. When Tear asks her what she is, Kili responds that Tear is a Dragon.
