Juuou Mujin no Fafnir, commonly known as Unlimited Fafnir, is the title of the anime adaptation of the light novel series by the same name. It was produced by Diomedea from January 8, 2015 to March 26, 2015 and was directed by Keizou Kusakawa and Jun Takahashi. The opening theme is "FLYING FAFNIR", created and performed by TRUSTRICK, while the ending theme is "Ray of Bullet" by Rina Hidaka and Manami Numakura, voice actresses of anime heroines Iris Freyja and Mitsuki Mononobe respectively from episodes 1-12, though episode 12's ending was sang together with Hisako Kanemoto, Sora Tokui, Fumiko Uchimura and Ayane Sakura, who are the voice actresses of Lisa Highwalker, Ariella Lu, Ren Miyazawa and Tear Lightning respectively. The anime consists of 12 episodes, covering the plot of Volumes 1 through 3, although significant deviations were introduced in the events of Volumes 2 and 3.
Synopsis[]
In a world that was transformed by the sudden appearance of monsters known collectively as Dragons, girls known as D are born with the dragons' powers. These supernatural beings all attend a school called Midgard. A boy named Yuu Mononobe is then born as the world's only male D. His existence is kept secret until the day he is forced to enroll in this supernatural battle school. While there, he accidentally sees a female student named Iris Freyja naked. Moreover, he is reunited with his long-separated little sister, Mitsuki. The curtains open as the one and only story about the boy who was supposed to become the strongest assassin and the poorly performing girl unfolds!
